Finally one of the moment came for which i was waiting for since last few months…..Thakorji naa aashirvaad thi, Got my first car….lifes’ first car…..what can be the exciting moment than this…it’s Honda Civic…..started driving from yesterday on the united states roads……it’s fun, it’s excitement. Thank you, Thank you so much…..

Another moment, I’m waiting for is to be back in India next week….I have my exams scheduled for next month and then probably coming back once again at sunnyvale, not sure…plans to be decided yet.

As of July 8, 2008 if i search "search engine" in google.com, the google’s own listing comes on second or third page. Altavista and dogpile tops the list. Is google googling?

These days I’m working as a Senior Software Engineer at Education.com based out of Sunnyvale California. My primary working area as of now is school finder application and integrating zillow API to retrieve up-to-date information about real estate, people and affordability and showing the information in statistical and graphical formats.

Mysql Tuner

Since last couple of weeks, i had been working on our MySql database which is growing exponentially day by day (it has somewhere around 5 Million records now, it;s not much but still needed some db tuning to be done). I was looking after some good tool/script available which could provide me with detailed analysis and found Racker Hacker to be one of the useful script. I use it regularly now as part of the tuning.

Basically, MySQLTuner is a high-performance MySQL tuning script written in perl that will provide the user with a snapshot of a MySQL server’s health. Based on the statistics gathered, specific recommendations will be provided that will increase a MySQL server’s efficiency and performance.

Got one more Dell Vostro 1500 for perosnal use last week. This one has Core 2 duo (1.6. GHz) and a 2 GB RAM and integrated blue tooth and webcam. This beauty also now connects to internet via Reliance Data Connect which keeps me connected anywhere, anytime and anyplace…

A very happy new year to all….it’s 2008. Started off well, purchased a new Dell Laptop and a 2 GB USB Drive…planning to go to gym today, read my MBA books as exams are coming very soon…..eagerly waiting to go back to India on 26th….
