Mysql Tuner
Since last couple of weeks, i had been working on our MySql database which is growing exponentially day by day (it has somewhere around 5 Million records now, it;s not much but still needed some db tuning to be done). I was looking after some good tool/script available which could provide me with detailed analysis and found Racker Hacker to be one of the useful script. I use it regularly now as part of the tuning.
Basically, MySQLTuner is a high-performance MySQL tuning script written in perl that will provide the user with a snapshot of a MySQL server’s health. Based on the statistics gathered, specific recommendations will be provided that will increase a MySQL server’s efficiency and performance.
